The all-nighters and countless cups of coffee paid off! I received my B.A. in Communication Arts, with emphasis in digital media and a Digital Studies Certificate in 2015. The bulk of my coursework included video production (filming, editing, color correction), web design & development, graphic design, sound editing and production, and the theories behind film, the internet, and design concepts.
My junior year I spent a semester abroad in London, England attending the University of Westminster. Well, I should say adventuring London and Europe while on the side attending school.. priorities. My courses consisted mainly of photography and museum visits around London. |

As a student, I started a student hourly position as a Compliancy & Website Designer and eventually became an intern at the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Division of Continuing Studies. The bulk of my work included editing HTML/CSS pages for accuracy, transcribing and editing both video and audio files to ensure accessibility regulations were upheld, updating and creating content within the learning management system, and organizing file structures.
After graduation I just couldn't leave the amazing cohort of Instructional Designers and taco Tuesdays behind so I accepted an Instructional Designer/Technologist position with the program development team. Here, I got first-hand experience in working with world class faculty to expand their courses to an online audience along with administrative projects allocated to me by the Director of Online Programming. |
